Hellmann expands U.S. logistics network with three new branches

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has announced the opening of three new branches in the United States, expanding its presence in Indianapolis, the Columbus metropolitan area and the San Francisco Bay Area as part of its international growth strategy.
The expansion brings the company’s U.S. network to 12 branches and strengthens its coverage of major industrial and commercial markets. The new locations are intended to provide customers with access to international freight forwarding, domestic transportation and industry-specific supply chain solutions.
Hellmann, which established its U.S. operations in 1988, is pursuing the expansion under its Forward2030 strategy, focusing on selected industries and markets with growth potential.
New locations target key industries
The Indianapolis branch, which is already operational, focuses on the automotive industry and its supplier networks. It supports Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers with international ocean freight, air freight and domestic road transportation services, providing logistics solutions for companies involved in automotive manufacturing and distribution.
In Ohio, the new branch in the Columbus metropolitan area adds dedicated capabilities for customers operating in the fashion and retail sectors. The location expands Hellmann’s ability to support businesses requiring international transportation and supply chain coordination.
The third location, near San Francisco International Airport, is positioned to serve companies in technology-intensive industries, including semiconductors, electronics, cloud infrastructure and renewable energy. Its proximity to the San Francisco Bay Area brings Hellmann closer to customers operating within the region’s technology and advanced manufacturing sectors.
Together, the three branches extend the company’s network across road, air and ocean freight, while providing additional local capabilities for customers with specialised logistics requirements.
“The United States plays a pivotal role in our global growth strategy,” said Mario Stecher, Managing Director U.S. at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
Stecher said the new locations would strengthen the company’s ability to support customers through local industry expertise and logistics services in strategically important markets.
The expansion also forms part of Hellmann’s U.S. Accelerator Program, which is designed to support regional business development and align the company’s international network with opportunities in the American market.
Peter Hüwel, Regional CEO Americas at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, said the programme combines the company’s global network with local market knowledge to support further growth in the United States.
Hellmann has confirmed that its Indianapolis branch is already operational but has not provided separate opening dates for the Columbus and San Francisco Bay Area locations. The company has not disclosed the investment value or staffing levels associated with the three branches.
