COSCO Shipping has added Contecon Guayaquil in Ecuador to its weekly Mexico Central America X-press feeder service, expanding the terminal’s maritime connections with Mexico and Central America.

According to terminal operator Contecon Guayaquil (CGSA), the service includes calls at Manzanillo and Lázaro Cárdenas in Mexico, Puerto Quetzal in Guatemala and Acajutla in El Salvador.

The addition expands the range of regional shipping services available through the terminal and provides cargo owners with further options for transporting goods between Ecuador and markets across the region.

The announcement forms part of Contecon Guayaquil’s efforts to strengthen its maritime connectivity and support Ecuador’s international trade.

Neither the date of the first call nor details of the vessels deployed on the service were disclosed in the announcement.
