Hellmann–Motherson logistics venture begins operations with new leadership team

MH Supply Chain Limited (MHSCL), the automotive logistics joint venture established by Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and Samvardhana Motherson International Limited, has appointed its management team and commenced operations.
The leadership team assumed its responsibilities in October 2026, marking the transition of the business from its establishment phase to operational activities. The joint venture was originally announced in March 2026 to develop integrated logistics solutions for international automotive manufacturers and suppliers.
Gordon Barnard has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, with Prashant Goyal taking the role of Chief Operating Officer. Arun Parackal has become Chief Digital Officer, while Nayan Malpani has been named Chief Financial Officer.
The appointments bring together executives with experience in logistics operations, supply chain management, digital transformation and financial management from the two parent organisations and other logistics businesses.
Leadership structure combines expertise from both partners
Barnard previously served as Chief Commercial Officer at Hellmann IMEA, while Parackal held the position of Vice President, Customer Excellence and Digital Transformation & Innovation.
Goyal joins the management team from Motherson, where he was Chief Operating Officer Logistics. Malpani previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Alpha Shipping.
The company has also established a regional management structure covering several international markets. Miller Machado will oversee the Americas, Balazs Kalmar will lead Europe and Special Projects, and Renee Abrahamse will be responsible for the Middle East, Africa and Global EXIM.
Rupesh Jha has been appointed regional leader for South East Asia, with Jackey Liu responsible for China. Ajay Rohira will head Global 3PL Sourcing and Procurement, while Suruchi Bahal will serve as HR Director.
Gordon Barnard, Chief Executive Officer of MH Supply Chain Limited, said the leadership appointments would support the company’s transition into operational execution, with an emphasis on improving transparency, flexibility and control across automotive supply chains.
Joint venture targets global automotive supply chains
Hellmann and Motherson announced their joint venture in March 2026, seeking to address the increasing complexity of international automotive manufacturing and distribution networks.
The business combines Hellmann’s global transport and logistics network, including third-party and fourth-party logistics capabilities, with Motherson’s expertise in automotive design, engineering, manufacturing, assembly and logistics.
Its services are intended to support manufacturers and suppliers requiring coordinated supply chain solutions across multiple regions, with digital systems forming part of the operating model.
According to figures cited in the announcement from the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers, global vehicle production reached 96.4 million units in 2025, an increase of 3.9% from the previous year.
The joint venture’s operational launch provides the basis for implementing the partners’ automotive logistics strategy. However, the latest announcement does not disclose new customer contracts, revenue targets or additional investment commitments associated with the management appointments.
