Solstad Maritime ASA has secured two firm contracts for its construction support vessel (CSV) Normand Australis in the Asia Pacific region, extending the vessel’s contracted offshore activities.

The agreements, announced on 30 October 2026, have a combined firm duration of 250 days and will be executed consecutively. Work is expected to begin in December 2026, with the contracts also including options for a further 75 days.

Solstad Maritime classified the combined firm contract value as substantial, a category the company defines as agreements worth between US$10 million and US$30 million. The company specified that the estimated value is towards the lower end of this range.

Under the contracts, Normand Australis will undertake remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and subsea support operations.

The agreements provide the vessel with a combined period of contracted activity in the Asia Pacific market, while the optional extensions could increase the overall duration if exercised.

Solstad Maritime has not disclosed the identities of the contracting parties, the specific offshore projects involved or the countries where the vessel will operate.

The company has also not provided an exact contract value or details of the vessel’s deployment following completion of the two firm contracts.

The awards add to Solstad Maritime’s offshore support activities, with operations scheduled to commence towards the end of 2026.
