Seabourn announces 2029 cruises with return to Egypt and new Northern Europe routes

Seabourn has announced its summer 2029 ocean cruise programme, including a return to Egypt after more than five years, new itineraries in Northern Europe and additional calls at smaller ports across several regions.
The programme comprises 166 sailings aboard Seabourn Ovation, Seabourn Quest and Seabourn Encore, covering the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Alaska, Canada and New England. According to the cruise line, the itineraries will visit more than 180 distinct destinations, with selected voyages featuring overnight port calls and extended stays.
Among the main additions are overnight calls in Alexandria, a new seven-day itinerary in the Gulf of Bothnia and first-time visits to several ports in Sweden, Finland and Greece.
Seabourn returns to Egypt and expands Mediterranean itineraries
Seabourn Ovation will operate 21 different Mediterranean itineraries between March and November 2029, covering the Western Mediterranean, Italy, the Adriatic and the Aegean.
The programme includes Seabourn’s first return to Egypt in more than five years. Selected voyages will feature an overnight stay in Alexandria, allowing passengers to arrange visits to Cairo and the Pyramids of Giza.
The Mediterranean schedule also includes a maiden call at Kapsali on the Greek island of Kythira. Other itineraries will incorporate visits to Ephesus in Turkey and destinations along the Italian and Corsican coastlines.
Seabourn will also continue offering selected shore activities, including evening visits to the archaeological site of Ephesus and market visits with onboard chefs.
New Northern Europe voyages and Gulf of Bothnia itinerary
Between May and September 2029, Seabourn Quest will operate itineraries across Scandinavia, the Baltic, the British Isles, Northern Norway, Iceland and Greenland.
A new seven-day Gulf of Bothnia voyage will introduce maiden calls at Härnösand in Sweden and Kemi, Rauma and Oulu in Finland. Additional first-time calls are planned at Alta and Frøya in Norway.
The Northern Europe programme will also feature extended or overnight stays in Bordeaux, Rouen, Helsinki, Tallinn, Edinburgh and Hamburg.
Seabourn Quest is scheduled to visit Turku during the Finnish city’s 900th anniversary year in 2029. Passengers will also be able to combine selected itineraries into longer voyages lasting 14, 21 or 28 days and beyond.
Alaska and North American coastal sailings
Seabourn Encore will return to Alaska between May and September 2029, operating seven-day voyages between Juneau and Vancouver. Longer itineraries of ten and eleven days will include destinations such as Valdez, Whittier and College Fjord.
All Alaska voyages are scheduled to include glacier viewing, while the ship’s Expedition Team will provide information about local wildlife and landscapes. Optional Zodiac and kayak excursions will also be available on selected sailings.
Some itineraries will include scenic cruising along British Columbia’s Great Bear Rainforest coastline.
Meanwhile, Seabourn Quest will operate 12- and 13-day Canada and New England itineraries between September and October 2029.
These voyages will include overnight stays in Boston, Quebec City and St. John’s, alongside calls at Gaspé, Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Prince Edward Island.
The 2029 programme places particular emphasis on longer port stays and smaller destinations, alongside established Mediterranean, Northern European and North American cruise routes.
