MSC launches new Jasmine service connecting China and Indonesia

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has announced the launch of Jasmine, a new standalone container shipping service providing direct connections between China, Singapore and Indonesia.
The service will connect Shanghai, Ningbo and Shekou with Singapore and the Indonesian ports of Surabaya and Semarang, strengthening MSC’s network of intra-Asian shipping services.
The first vessel scheduled to operate the new service is MSC WIND II, voyage HF645A, which is expected to arrive in Shanghai on 4 November 2026.
Jasmine service port rotation
The new service will follow the rotation:
Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Singapore – Surabaya – Semarang – Singapore – Shanghai
The inclusion of both Surabaya and Semarang will provide direct maritime connections between China’s main export gateways and two important cargo destinations in Indonesia.
Singapore will serve as an intermediate port on both the southbound and northbound legs of the rotation.
MSC expands intra-Asian connectivity
The introduction of Jasmine adds a dedicated service linking Chinese ports with Southeast Asian markets.
According to MSC, the new rotation is designed to provide direct and fast connections between the three countries.
