Havila Kystruten reports stronger occupancy and revenue growth in September

Norwegian coastal shipping operator Havila Kystruten AS reported higher occupancy and revenue indicators in September 2026, alongside an improved booking position for the remainder of the year.
According to the company’s latest trading update, occupancy reached 82% during September, an increase of six percentage points compared with the same month in 2025. Average Cabin Revenue (ACR) rose by 13% year on year, while total ticket revenue increased by 21%.
Operational onboard revenue also recorded growth, rising by 28% compared with September 2025. The figures indicate improvements across the company’s reported passenger occupancy and revenue measures during the month.
Booking levels ahead of last year
Havila Kystruten reported that 77% of its available capacity for 2026 had been booked, compared with 70% at the corresponding point last year. This represents an increase of seven percentage points, equivalent to a 10% relative improvement in booked capacity.
For 2027, the company reported that 35% of capacity had already been booked, one percentage point ahead of the comparable period in 2025.
The composition of bookings for 2027 showed differences between customer segments. Individual bookings were three percentage points higher than at the same time last year, while group bookings were two percentage points lower.
The figures suggest that the company’s forward booking position remains ahead of the previous year’s levels, although the improvement for 2027 is more limited than that recorded for 2026.
Havila Kystruten noted that the operational indicators are based on data from its unaudited booking system. As a result, absolute figures and revenue recognition periods may differ slightly from those presented in its financial statements.
The company also clarified that currency-based revenue figures used to calculate Average Cabin Revenue reflect exchange rates recorded within its booking system.
