Freightos reports stronger platform activity ahead of quarterly earnings

The digital freight booking platform recorded growth in transactions and booking value during the third quarter, exceeding management’s previous expectations.
Freightos reported stronger-than-expected activity across its digital freight booking platform during the third quarter of 2026, with both transaction volumes and gross booking value exceeding management’s forecasts.
The company processed approximately 494,000 transactions during the quarter, representing a 15% increase compared with the same period in 2025.
Gross Booking Value (GBV), which measures the total value of freight transactions and related services processed through the platform, reached $437 million, an increase of 30% year over year.
Both indicators exceeded the company’s previously announced expectations, according to preliminary figures released on 15 October.
Platform transactions and booking value increase
Freightos had previously expected between 481,000 and 490,000 transactions during the third quarter, with annual growth of 12% to 14%.
The reported total of 494,000 transactions exceeded the upper end of that range.
GBV also surpassed management’s forecast of $390 million to $397 million, reaching a quarterly record of $437 million.
According to Freightos, transaction growth was primarily driven by customers using its software solutions, which contributed to greater activity across its digital booking network.
The company also attributed part of the increase in booking value to elevated freight rates associated with tight capacity and higher fuel costs.
GBV represents the value of transactions processed through the platform and should not be interpreted as Freightos’ revenue.
Carrier and buyer participation expands
The number of active carriers on the Freightos platform increased to 79 during the quarter, compared with 75 in the second quarter of 2026 and 77 in the third quarter of 2025.
Freightos defines active carriers as those receiving more than five transactions during a calendar quarter.
The platform’s unique buyer users also increased, reaching approximately 21,900 compared with 21,100 in the preceding quarter.
The company said its expanding network includes air and ocean freight providers, with Korean Air among the carriers active during the period.
Freightos CEO Pablo Pinillos said the quarterly figures reflected growing platform activity and the company’s efforts to combine digital bookings, software and freight market intelligence.
The figures remain preliminary and may change when the company publishes its full financial results.
Freightos is scheduled to report third-quarter earnings on 23 November 2026, when it will also provide further information about its Solutions business, which accounts for the majority of company revenue.
