Disney Cruise Line unveils plans for new Disney Believe

Disney Cruise Line has revealed new details about its upcoming cruise ship Disney Believe, which is scheduled to begin sailing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on 18 December 2027.

The vessel will operate four- and five-night cruises from South Florida to the Caribbean and the Bahamas, including calls at one or both of the company’s private island destinations, Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

General bookings for the new ship are scheduled to open on 19 October 2026.

The Disney Believe will become the fourth vessel in the company’s Wish class, joining Disney Wish, Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny. Its introduction forms part of a broader fleet expansion programme that is expected to bring Disney Cruise Line’s fleet to 13 ships by late 2030.

New ship to introduce additional onboard facilities

The Disney Believe will feature a range of entertainment, dining and accommodation facilities developed around Disney’s film franchises.

Among the newly announced attractions is the first stage adaptation of Disney’s Encanto, which will be presented at the ship’s Walt Disney Theatre. The entertainment programme will also include Tangled: The Musical and Disney Seas the Adventure, alongside a new family show featuring characters from Zootopia.

The ship’s central Grand Hall will incorporate design elements inspired by Moana, while a new restaurant, Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast, will introduce a dining experience based on Frozen.

Additional facilities will include themed lounges, restaurants, children’s activity areas and adult-only venues. The ship will also feature the AquaMouse water attraction, swimming pools and dedicated entertainment spaces for different age groups.

Disney Cruise Line said approximately 70% of the vessel’s staterooms will include verandahs, while more than 450 connecting doors will support accommodation arrangements for families and larger groups.

Among the premium accommodation options will be the two-storey Believe Tower Suite, located within the ship’s forward funnel. The suite will cover nearly 2,000 square feet and accommodate up to eight guests.

Fleet expansion continues across international markets

The introduction of Disney Believe is part of Disney Cruise Line’s multi-year expansion strategy, which includes additional vessels and operations in new markets.

The programme includes Disney Adventure in Singapore and an agreement with Oriental Land Co. to introduce Disney cruise holidays in Japan in 2029.

Disney Cruise Line also plans to add three further ships between 2027 and late 2030, with the overall fleet expected to reach 13 vessels by the end of that period.

With its December 2027 debut planned, Disney Believe will add further capacity to the company’s Caribbean and Bahamas operations from Florida, while the wider expansion programme will extend its presence in international cruise markets.
