d’Amico International Shipping SA has announced a change in its senior management team, with Chief Operating Officer Flemming Carlsen set to leave the group in the coming weeks.

Mark Roberts, currently Senior Chartering Manager, has been appointed to succeed Carlsen as Chief Operating Officer, effective 15 November 2026.

Roberts has worked with d’Amico for more than 20 years, gaining experience across the group’s tanker business, commercial operations and chartering activities. His appointment represents an internal succession as the company seeks to maintain continuity in its operational leadership.

Internal appointment supports management continuity

During his tenure, Carlsen contributed to the development and commercial management of d’Amico’s tanker operations, drawing on his experience in the shipping industry and tanker markets.

The company did not specify the reasons behind his decision to step down or provide an exact departure date.

Carlos Balestra di Mottola, Chief Executive Officer of d’Amico International Shipping, thanked Carlsen for his contribution to the group’s development and commercial activities.

He also expressed confidence in Roberts’ appointment, highlighting his industry experience, familiarity with the company’s operations and track record in commercial management.

The leadership transition will take effect on 15 November 2026, when Roberts formally assumes responsibility as Chief Operating Officer.
