Bureau Veritas reports stronger quarterly revenue and maintains outlook

Bureau Veritas reported revenue growth in the third quarter of 2026, supported by positive performance across its main business divisions, while confirming its full-year financial outlook.
The French testing, inspection and certification group generated revenue of €1.57 billion during the quarter, representing a 10.1% increase compared with the corresponding period of 2025. Organic revenue growth reached 6.2%, reflecting continued demand across several of the company’s operating markets.
The results follow the introduction of a revised reporting structure on 1 July 2026, comprising four divisions: Industrials & Commodities, Buildings & Infrastructure, Business Assurance, and Product Testing & Services.
The new structure excludes businesses planned for exit, including Oil & Petrochemicals, Coal Testing and Inspection, and Government Services.
Infrastructure and product testing support growth
Buildings & Infrastructure recorded organic revenue growth of 7.9%, while Product Testing & Services achieved growth of 7.0%.
Industrials & Commodities reported organic growth of 5.1%, supported by activity across its industrial and commodities-related services. Business Assurance recorded a more moderate increase of 3.2%.
Bureau Veritas also benefited from changes to its business portfolio, with acquisitions contributing 2.7 percentage points to revenue growth, partly offset by a negative 0.9 percentage-point effect from disposals.
Currency movements added a further 2.1 percentage points, mainly reflecting the strengthening of the US dollar against the euro.
The company said its portfolio transformation under the LEAP | 28 strategy has supported a more focused operating structure and improved its positioning in selected growth markets.
Bureau Veritas confirms outlook and expansion targets
Following its performance during the first nine months of 2026, Bureau Veritas maintained its full-year guidance.
The group continues to expect mid-to-high single-digit organic revenue growth, an improvement in adjusted operating margin at constant exchange rates and strong cash flow generation.
Looking beyond 2026, the company has upgraded its total revenue growth target at constant currency to a double-digit compound annual growth rate for 2027 and 2028.
The target is supported by its ongoing portfolio strategy, including acquisitions and business disposals, alongside operational improvements.
Bureau Veritas also identified artificial intelligence as a significant area for future development, setting an ambition to generate €1 billion in revenue from AI-driven markets and services by 2030.
This represents a long-term revenue target rather than income already achieved.
Financing and portfolio strategy
During the period, Bureau Veritas completed the placement of a €700 million bond carrying a coupon of 4.125% and maturing in September 2034.
According to the company, the financing has helped extend its debt maturity profile, with most maturities now falling beyond 2031.
The group also reported that approximately one-third of its previously announced €200 million share buyback programme had been completed.
Bureau Veritas remains focused on executing its LEAP | 28 strategy, combining acquisitions, portfolio restructuring and investment in technological capabilities.
Although the group operates across maritime-related inspection and certification markets, the quarterly announcement does not provide separate financial results for its marine and offshore activities.
