Following delivery, CANIVER entered a charter arrangement with Vitol International Shipping and is intended to operate in the international oil and petroleum products transportation market.
Vessel design and environmental classification
The tanker was constructed to a Bureau Veritas-approved LR2 design, incorporating hull and cargo arrangement features intended to improve operational efficiency.
According to Bureau Veritas, the vessel has been designed for unrestricted navigation and incorporates environmental protection measures intended to support compliance with applicable maritime regulations.
CANIVER has received the classification society’s CLEANSHIP and GREEN PASSPORT notations.
These notations relate to requirements covering pollution prevention, emissions management and waste handling.

Delivery strengthens Aegean Shipping’s tanker operations
The delivery represents another addition to Aegean Shipping’s tanker operations and continues the company’s cooperation with Yangzhou COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry and Bureau Veritas.
Christons Kechris, CEO of Aegean Shipping, described the delivery as an important milestone in the company’s fleet development.
The shipowner highlighted its focus on incorporating technologies intended to improve cargo transportation safety and reduce environmental impacts.
