Daimler Truck reports growth in quarterly vehicle sales

Daimler Truck reported an increase in global vehicle sales during the third quarter of 2026, supported by higher volumes in North America.
The German commercial vehicle manufacturer sold 91,260 trucks and buses during the July–September period, compared with 72,277 vehicles in the corresponding quarter of 2025.
The figures represent an increase of approximately 26% year on year, reflecting a stronger quarterly performance across the company’s global operations.
Sales in North America contributed to the increase, while the company reported a decline in sales of battery-electric trucks and buses compared with the previous year.
The quarterly figures cover Daimler Truck’s commercial vehicle operations, including heavy-duty trucks and buses, and provide an indication of demand across its major markets.
The sales update precedes the company’s detailed third-quarter financial results and does not, on its own, establish the impact of higher vehicle volumes on revenue or profitability.
Regional sales performance
Trucks North America recorded sales of 45,629 vehicles, compared with 30,225 a year earlier, an increase of 51%. Mercedes-Benz Trucks sold 40,362 vehicles, up 13% from 35,818 in the third quarter of 2025.
Daimler Buses reported a 16% decline, with sales falling to 5,394 vehicles from 6,443. Battery-electric truck and bus sales also decreased by 28%, from 1,679 to 1,207 vehicles.
For the first nine months of 2026, Daimler Truck reported group sales of 246,816 vehicles, compared with 228,642 in the corresponding period of 2025, representing an increase of 8%.
The company noted that its reported figures cover continuing operations following the integration of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation into ARCHION on 1 April 2026.
Daimler Truck is scheduled to publish its detailed third-quarter financial and non-financial results on 6 November 2026.
