DOF Group secures subsea decommissioning contract in the North Sea

DOF Group ASA has been awarded a subsea decommissioning contract by an unnamed North Sea operator, covering the removal of offshore infrastructure and seabed clearance across multiple fields.
The contract, classified by DOF as significant, has a value within the company’s defined range of $15 million to $25 million. The offshore campaign is scheduled to take place during the first quarter of 2027.
The scope of work includes project management, engineering, offshore execution and disposal services associated with the removal of subsea infrastructure. DOF will undertake the project using its own engineering, marine operations, remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and survey capabilities.
Offshore campaign scheduled for early 2027
The decommissioning activities will be carried out using one of DOF’s Construction Support Vessels (CSVs), although the company has not identified the vessel assigned to the project.
The campaign will involve the removal of subsea equipment and infrastructure, together with seabed clearance operations across several offshore fields. DOF will also provide engineering and project management services throughout the contract.
Mons S. Aase, Chief Executive Officer of DOF Group, commented on the award.
“We are pleased to secure this contract and look forward to delivering a safe and efficient decommissioning campaign,” Aase said.
The company has not disclosed the identity of the North Sea operator or the specific offshore fields covered by the agreement.
The contract adds to DOF’s subsea decommissioning activities, with offshore execution planned for the opening quarter of 2027.
