Star Bulk enters strategic partnership with Hermes World Maritime

Star Bulk Carriers has announced a strategic partnership with Hermes World Maritime S.A. involving two Kamsarmax dry bulk vessels built in 2026.

Under the agreement, Hermes will acquire a 35% ownership interest in Star Ellie and Star Bella, while Star Bulk will retain responsibility for the commercial and technical management of both vessels.

The transaction establishes a shared ownership arrangement between the two companies without changing the vessels’ management responsibilities.

Partnership covers two Kamsarmax vessels

The agreement concerns Star Ellie and Star Bella, both identified by Star Bulk as 2026-built Kamsarmax vessels.

Hermes will acquire a 35% ownership interest in the two vessels, with Star Bulk continuing to manage their commercial employment and technical operations.

According to Star Bulk, the partnership forms part of its ongoing strategy to strengthen relationships with key industry partners.
