Endúr secures Swedish maritime dredging contract

Norwegian infrastructure and marine services group Endúr ASA has announced that its subsidiary Marcon has secured a maintenance dredging contract from the Swedish Maritime Administration for works on the Göta River in Sweden.
The contract, awarded to Svensk Sjöentreprenad i Malmö AB (SSE), part of Marcon-Gruppen i Sverige AB, is expected to have a value of approximately SEK 100 million.
The project involves dredging, transporting and disposing of sediment as part of maintenance activities along the waterway.
Dredging works to remove contaminated sediment
Under the contract, SSE will remove approximately 20,000 cubic metres of contaminated, non-hazardous sediment from the Göta River.
The scope includes dredging operations, transportation of the extracted material and its disposal.
The project is intended to support maintenance of the waterway, which forms part of Sweden’s maritime transport infrastructure.
The announcement does not specify the exact locations along the river where dredging will take place or the disposal facilities to be used.
Swedish and Norwegian subsidiaries to cooperate
Repstad Anlegg AS, another wholly owned subsidiary of Endúr, will participate as a subcontractor for selected activities.
The arrangement will involve cooperation between the group’s Swedish and Norwegian operations within its Ports & Marine business segment.
Marcon will undertake the main contract through SSE, while Repstad will provide support for specific project processes.
The contract represents an additional project for Endúr’s marine infrastructure activities in Sweden.
Project expected to last up to nine months
Work is expected to begin shortly, with an estimated project duration of six to nine months.
Endúr has not disclosed a precise commencement date or a detailed schedule for individual project phases.
The award adds to the group’s portfolio of marine construction and maintenance activities, combining dredging services with sediment transportation and disposal.
