Eidesvik Offshore extends Viking Avant contract with Equinor through 2027

Eidesvik Offshore ASA has secured a contract extension with Equinor Energy AS for the supply vessel Viking Avant, extending its firm employment period until the end of 2027.

The extension will begin immediately after the vessel’s existing contract expires, ensuring uninterrupted service for Equinor. The agreement also includes an option for a further extension.

The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Long-standing cooperation continues

The Viking Avant has been operating for Equinor since its delivery in 2004, establishing a commercial relationship spanning more than two decades.

The latest agreement follows an earlier extension announced in May 2026, which secured the vessel’s employment through the end of that year.

Helga Cotgrove, Chief Executive Officer of Eidesvik Offshore, welcomed the continuation of the contract, highlighting the vessel’s operational performance and the contribution of its crew.

According to the company, the latest extension was agreed on current market terms.

The agreement provides Eidesvik with continued contractual employment for Viking Avant through 2027, while leaving open the possibility of further work beyond that period.
