Wallenius Wilhelmsen reported improved financial results for the third quarter of 2026, supported by stronger demand for shipping services from Asia and higher earnings across its Shipping and Government services operations.

The Norwegian shipping and logistics group generated total revenue of US$1.40 billion during the quarter, an increase of 7% compared with the previous three months, mainly reflecting higher revenue from Shipping services. Adjusted EBITDA rose 19% quarter on quarter to US$428 million, while net profit increased 53% to US$212 million.

The company maintained its full-year 2026 adjusted EBITDA outlook at approximately US$1.6 billion, reflecting its existing expectations for business performance during the remainder of the year.

Demand for vehicle shipping services from Asia continued to increase during the quarter, supporting higher freight and charter rates. Wallenius Wilhelmsen reported that its shipping capacity is fully committed for 2026, while customers are showing continued interest in securing transportation capacity through longer-term agreements.

“We delivered a strong third quarter, with solid demand and performance across the business,” said Lasse Kristoffersen, President and CEO of Wallenius Wilhelmsen.

## Contract activity and fleet expansion

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is progressing negotiations covering approximately 40% of its expected shipping volumes for 2027. Following the end of the third quarter, the company announced two major contract awards with a combined value of US$1.7 billion, strengthening its forward commercial commitments.

The group is also expanding its Shaper Class newbuilding programme to support future fleet requirements. The latest expansion includes four additional firm vessel orders, with deliveries scheduled for 2030, alongside options for up to eight further vessels from 2031.

To partly finance the expanded newbuilding programme, Wallenius Wilhelmsen raised US$300 million through a private placement. The investment is intended to provide additional fleet capacity while supporting the company’s longer-term operational and commercial requirements.

“Shaper Class deliveries and our newly expanded newbuilding program will strengthen our competitive position for the years ahead,” said Lasse Kristoffersen, President and CEO of Wallenius Wilhelmsen.

The company also announced management changes early in the fourth quarter, appointing John Felitto as Chief Commercial Officer and Christian Holth as Interim Chief Operating Officer for Logistics.

Wallenius Wilhelmsen enters the final quarter of 2026 with its available shipping capacity fully committed, a growing portfolio of long-term customer agreements and an expanded fleet investment programme. Its maintained annual guidance reflects expectations of continued earnings contributions from its shipping and logistics activities.
