Volare Shipping, a [Trafigura Group](https://www.trafigura.com/) company focused on the ownership and operation of oil tankers, began trading on Euronext Growth Oslo on 5 October 2026, following a private placement that raised approximately $500 million.

The company issued 30.7 million new shares at NOK 154 per share, with the offering attracting demand exceeding the number of shares available. Participants included institutional investors, family offices and shipping industry investors.

Volare Shipping operates six Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) and has eight additional vessels on order, with deliveries scheduled progressively through 2028, according to Trafigura. The fleet is commercially managed by Trafigura’s global shipping business.

## Robin Energy confirms participation in private placement

On 9 October 2026, Nasdaq-listed Robin Energy Ltd. (NASDAQ: RBNE) announced that it had participated in Volare Shipping’s private placement, acquiring 90,000 shares at the offering price of NOK 154 per share.

The investment amounted to NOK 13.86 million, based on the number of shares purchased and the placement price. Robin Energy is an international shipowning company providing energy transportation services.

The investment formed part of the broader private placement completed ahead of Volare Shipping’s admission to Euronext Growth Oslo, where its shares trade under the ticker symbol VLCC.

Volare Shipping’s management team marked the listing by ringing the opening bell at the Oslo exchange on 5 October.

Alexandre Duff, Chief Executive Officer of Volare Shipping, described the listing as an important milestone for the company.

“Today is a significant milestone for Volare, as we begin our journey as a listed company on Euronext Growth Oslo,” Duff said.

## VLCC fleet expansion continues through 2028

Volare Shipping was established within Trafigura Group to own, operate and expand a fleet of oil tankers. Its fleet currently consists of six operational VLCCs, alongside eight newbuildings on order, with deliveries scheduled in stages through 2028.

Once all eight vessels have been delivered, the company’s fleet would comprise 14 VLCCs, assuming no other changes to its vessel portfolio. The announcement does not provide individual delivery dates for the newbuildings.

Trafigura’s global shipping business remains responsible for the commercial management of Volare Shipping’s vessels. Andrea Olivi, Global Head of Shipping at Trafigura, also serves as Chair of Volare Shipping’s Board of Directors.

The 5 October listing and the subsequent 9 October disclosure by Robin Energy establish the company’s entry into the public market and confirm the participation of another shipping-sector investor in its private placement.
