Taylor Maritime Limited has reportedly agreed terms for the sale of its final owned dry bulk carrier for US$15.1 million, marking a further step in the company’s managed asset realisation strategy.

According to details attributed to the company’s 23 October trading update, completion of the transaction is expected in December 2026. The agreement represents progress towards the disposal of the company’s remaining owned shipping assets, although the transfer of the vessel has not yet been completed.

The development follows Taylor Maritime’s decision earlier this year to pursue an orderly realisation of its assets and return capital to shareholders, rather than continue its previous investment strategy.

## Fleet disposal strategy approaches completion

Taylor Maritime has progressively reduced its fleet through vessel disposals as part of its managed realisation programme.

The company previously confirmed that its strategy involves selling vessels in a commercially disciplined manner, managing remaining assets during the wind-down period and returning surplus capital to investors.

The reported US$15.1 million transaction would represent another milestone in that process. However, the agreed sale terms should not be interpreted as confirmation that the vessel has already been delivered to its buyer or that the transaction has closed.

Taylor Maritime also reportedly retains an interest in another vessel through a sale-and-leaseback arrangement containing a purchase option, with the associated charter scheduled to expire in April 2027.

## Capital returns remain central to the strategy

The company’s asset realisation programme is accompanied by a series of capital returns to shareholders.

Its latest quarterly update reportedly places net asset value at US$73.8 million as of 30 September 2026 and records a quarterly net loss of US$1.7 million.

Taylor Maritime has also reportedly scheduled a further US$45 million capital return, with a compulsory partial redemption of shares planned for 26 October 2026.

The company is expected to continue reviewing its remaining assets and corporate structure as the realisation programme advances. Any potential delisting remains a separate corporate step and should not be treated as completed.

The proposed disposal of the final owned bulk carrier would bring Taylor Maritime closer to completing its fleet exit, subject to the successful closing of the transaction and resolution of its remaining commitments.
