Ocean Installer AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Norway’s Moreld ASA, has received a new commitment from an undisclosed client to expand the scope of an existing offshore project, covering additional installation, commissioning and engineering activities.

The commitment is classified as significant under Moreld’s contract value definitions, which place such agreements within an expected value range of NOK 500 million to NOK 1 billion. The company has not disclosed the precise financial value of the additional scope or identified the customer involved.

The expanded work includes a range of offshore installation and commissioning operations, supported by onshore project management and engineering services. Initial onshore activities are scheduled to begin immediately, while offshore execution is planned across 2027 and 2028.

The latest commitment extends Ocean Installer’s involvement in an existing project rather than representing an entirely new development. However, Moreld has not disclosed the project’s location, the assets involved or further technical details of the installation work.

Ocean Installer specialises in offshore installation and subsea construction services and operates as part of Moreld’s wider engineering and marine services business. The Stavanger-headquartered company undertakes complex offshore projects involving installation, engineering and associated subsea activities.

Moreld said no additional details concerning the expanded commitment would be disclosed at this stage.
