Noatum Logistics, the logistics arm of AD Ports Group, has doubled its trucking fleet to more than 850 units as part of an expansion of its road transport operations across the Middle East and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets.

Announced on 28 October 2026, the expansion follows the delivery of new trucks in batches over the preceding six months. According to the company, the vehicles have been fully integrated into its regional operations and comply with Euro 5 emissions standards.

The additional capacity strengthens Noatum Logistics’ predominantly owned and operated fleet, supporting freight forwarding, contract logistics and project logistics activities. It also enables the company to expand its in-house cross-border road transport capabilities, reducing its reliance on external transport capacity for selected regional movements.

## Expanded fleet supports cross-border transport

The investment forms part of Noatum Logistics’ strategy to strengthen its regional transport network and provide customers with greater control over cargo movements across GCC markets.

With the larger fleet, the company aims to serve customers requiring overland connections between industrial centres, distribution facilities and regional transport gateways. The expansion also supports its ability to manage transport operations directly across borders.

Thorsten Pook, Managing Director of Noatum Logistics for the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and CIS, said the investment was intended to strengthen the company’s operational capabilities and improve its ability to respond to changing customer requirements.

The fleet expansion is accompanied by investment in digital monitoring systems. Every vehicle is equipped with GPS tracking and connected to a centralised control tower, allowing the company to monitor vehicle movements, shipment progress and asset utilisation in real time.

According to Noatum Logistics, these systems provide greater visibility across its road transport operations and support coordination between transport teams and customers.

## Road fleet complements rail connections

Alongside its expanded trucking operations, Noatum Logistics is combining road transport capacity with its dedicated rail shuttle service connecting Khalifa Port and Fujairah Terminals in the United Arab Emirates.

The company says the two transport modes offer complementary capacity and transit characteristics, allowing customers to select different transport arrangements according to their operational requirements.

The combined road and rail offering also provides access to alternative bonded overland corridors connecting industrial areas in the UAE with regional maritime and air transport gateways. Noatum Logistics reports that these arrangements have supported cargo movements during recent disruptions affecting regional supply chains.

The company is positioning its expanded fleet within a wider multimodal logistics network, combining road transport, rail services and freight forwarding operations.

Backed by AD Ports Group, Noatum Logistics continues to develop its regional transport capacity, with the newly delivered vehicles already operating across its network.
