Naval Group has signed ten contracts with Greek companies and two memoranda of understanding covering research and development, expanding cooperation with Greece’s maritime and defence industries.

The agreements were signed on November 4 during Euronaval 2026 and cover the construction of FDI frigates, maintenance and technical support services, and the development of naval technologies. Five contracts concern manufacturing activities, while another five focus on services supporting maritime operations and equipment.

## Greek companies secure frigate construction work

Under the manufacturing agreements, SALAMIS will construct new FDI frigate blocks at its facilities in Salamina, while METLEN will manufacture torpedo doors in Volos. KAFKAS will produce emergency stop cabinets and electrical cabinets in Thessaloniki, and KASSIDIARIS will manufacture propulsion control cabinets in Piraeus.

B&T COMPOSITES will undertake development activities involving composite materials linked to low-pressure prototypes in Florina. Together, the five agreements allocate specialised manufacturing responsibilities to Greek companies across several industrial locations.

The remaining five contracts cover maintenance and support services. FOTINAKIS will provide welding and engineering studies, GELASAKIS will act as a local shipping agency, and HERMES will supply mobile cranes for heavy equipment handling. IKRIOMA SKORDILAKIS will provide metal scaffolding, while MARITA HELLAS will deliver safety and firefighting solutions.

## Research agreements target naval technologies

Naval Group also signed two memoranda of understanding with Greek technology companies to support cooperation on research and innovation projects.

The agreement with FEAC covers seabed warfare, lifecycle performance, digital twin technologies and signature analysis. The second MoU, signed with SOTIRIA Technology, focuses on its capabilities in marine sensors, magnetometers and seabed warfare.

PPC INSPECTRA was also represented at the signing event. Naval Group had previously signed an MoU with the company in July 2026 covering laboratory testing, inspection and certification services, with initial work assignments already underway.

The latest agreements extend Naval Group’s cooperation with Greek industrial and technology companies across shipbuilding, equipment manufacturing, maritime support services and research. Financial values and implementation schedules for the individual contracts were not disclosed.
