MSC Cruises has opened bookings for its 2029 World Cruise, announcing a 119-night global itinerary aboard the refurbished *MSC Magnifica*, with calls at 45 destinations across 21 countries.

The voyage is scheduled to begin in January 2029, with passengers able to embark at four Mediterranean ports: Civitavecchia on 4 January, followed by Genoa, Marseille and Barcelona. The itinerary will include nine overnight port calls, providing extended stays at selected destinations.

The programme covers the Mediterranean, South America, the Pacific, Australia and Asia, with a particular focus on Australian and Indonesian destinations.

## Extended Australian and Indonesian itineraries

A central feature of the 2029 World Cruise is a circumnavigation of Australia, with the vessel scheduled to visit several major ports and regional destinations.

The Australian itinerary includes Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Kangaroo Island, Fremantle, Broome and Darwin. The programme also introduces new calls at Kangaroo Island, Broome and Darwin, alongside an overnight stay at Fremantle, providing access to Perth and Western Australia.

Following the Australian segment, *MSC Magnifica* will continue through Indonesia, with visits to Bali, Lombok and Java. The itinerary includes a new call at Celukan Bawang in northern Bali.

Elsewhere in the Pacific, the programme introduces calls at Lautoka in Fiji and Timaru in New Zealand, while Milford Sound remains part of the New Zealand itinerary.

The cruise will also include overnight stays in Rio de Janeiro, Ushuaia, Sydney and Singapore, among other destinations.

According to MSC Cruises, the itinerary has been designed to combine established cruise destinations with additional ports across the Southern Hemisphere and Asia.

## Refurbished MSC Magnifica selected for global voyage

The 2029 World Cruise will be operated by *MSC Magnifica*, which has undergone refurbishment and now features the MSC Yacht Club, the company’s premium accommodation and service concept.

The addition includes dedicated suites, dining and lounge facilities, alongside private outdoor areas.

The vessel will provide the accommodation and onboard facilities required for the extended global itinerary, which will span nearly four months.

MSC Cruises has also included 15 shore excursions within the World Cruise programme, supporting passenger activities at selected ports.

## MSC Cruises opens bookings for January 2029 departures

Bookings are now available for the 2029 World Cruise, with the four embarkation options providing passengers with different starting points in the Mediterranean.

The itinerary represents a long-duration deployment of *MSC Magnifica* across multiple cruise regions, incorporating an extended Australian programme and a series of calls in Southeast Asia.

The announcement also marks the opening of sales for the company’s 2029 global cruise programme, rather than the introduction of a new vessel or the commencement of operations.

With 45 destinations across 21 countries, the planned voyage will connect established cruise ports with additional destinations in Australia, the Pacific and Indonesia.
