The NYK Group has announced that *Lady Crystal*, a cruise ship operated by its subsidiary The Cruise Club Tokyo, will conclude operations on 8 November 2026, bringing an end to 36 years of service in Tokyo Bay.

Since entering service on 8 May 1990, *Lady Crystal* has provided cruise experiences for guests celebrating birthdays, wedding anniversaries and other special occasions. Over more than three decades, the vessel has become associated with dining, hospitality and leisure cruises in the Japanese capital.

The company expressed its appreciation to the passengers who have supported the vessel throughout its operational history, as well as those involved in maintaining its services.

## AMANE to continue the tradition

The new cruise ship *AMANE* is scheduled to enter service in May 2027 as the successor to *Lady Crystal*, continuing the hospitality tradition established over the past 36 years.

According to the NYK Group, *AMANE* will offer guests a comfortable, relaxing and refined onboard experience, designed to accommodate different preferences and ways of spending time at sea.

The company intends to build on the operational experience and hospitality standards developed through *Lady Crystal*, providing memorable experiences aboard the new vessel.

The introduction of *AMANE* will mark a new chapter for The Cruise Club Tokyo, maintaining the company’s focus on leisure cruising and onboard hospitality in Tokyo Bay.

## Final voyages scheduled for November

Until its final day of service on 8 November, *Lady Crystal* will continue welcoming passengers aboard its remaining cruises.

The NYK Group has thanked guests and everyone involved in the vessel’s operations for their support over the past 36 years.

While the vessel’s retirement from service has been confirmed, the company has not provided details about its subsequent disposal or future use.

With *AMANE* scheduled to begin operations in May 2027, The Cruise Club Tokyo is preparing to transition to a new generation of cruise experiences while preserving the hospitality tradition associated with *Lady Crystal*.
