# GTT Energy secures LNG carrier tank design order from Hanwha Ocean

GTT Energy, the business unit of GTT specialising in containment and energy management systems, has received an order from South Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean for the design of cryogenic tanks for two new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.

The order was received during the third quarter of 2026 and covers two vessels, each with an LNG capacity of 174,000 cubic metres.

## Vessels to feature NO96 Super+ technology

The LNG carriers will be equipped with GTT’s NO96 Super+ membrane containment system, developed for the safe storage and transportation of liquefied natural gas at cryogenic temperatures.

The technology forms part of GTT’s portfolio of containment solutions for LNG carriers.

According to the announcement, delivery of both vessels is scheduled by the fourth quarter of 2029.

The financial value of the order and the identity of the vessels’ future owner were not disclosed.
