Dynagas LNG Partners has warned of potential operational and financial risks affecting two of its LNG carriers following changes to United Kingdom sanctions regulations targeting the maritime transportation of Russian-origin liquefied natural gas. The Athens-based partnership also declared a quarterly cash distribution of US$0.05 per common unit for the three months ended September 30, 2026.

The sanctions update concerns the *Yenisei River* and *Lena River*, which are employed under long-term time charters with Yamal Trade Pte. Ltd. The agreements extend until 2033 and 2034, respectively, and involve the transportation of LNG produced in Russia.

Under regulations enacted by the United Kingdom on May 20, 2026, UK persons are prohibited from providing or facilitating maritime transportation services for Russian-origin LNG, including shipments to third countries, subject to certain exceptions and licensing arrangements. For qualifying long-term supply contracts signed before June 17, 2025, the relevant restrictions take effect on January 1, 2027.

Dynagas stated that the new requirements will oblige it to replace certain essential UK-based service providers, including insurers, with providers established outside the United Kingdom. The partnership cautioned that alternative arrangements may not be available on comparable terms, or may not be secured at all.

## Charter exposure and operational risks

The company identified several potential consequences if replacement services cannot be arranged in time. These include additional operating expenses, vessel off-hire periods, disruptions to charter operations and possible contractual disputes.

In more severe circumstances, such disputes could lead to litigation, loss of charter revenue or early termination of the affected agreements. Dynagas also warned that interruptions could affect its ability to comply with financial covenants under existing debt arrangements.

The commercial exposure is significant. Yamal Trade accounted for 34.5% of Dynagas LNG Partners’ total revenue during the six months ended June 30, 2026, highlighting the importance of the two long-term charters to the partnership’s financial performance.

According to the company, losing revenue from either or both agreements could materially affect its operating results, cash flow, financial position and ability to make distributions to common unitholders. It could also trigger an event of default under its debt agreements.

The disclosure represents an update to the partnership’s previous sanctions-related statements, including its September 8, 2026 announcement. Dynagas has not reported the termination of either charter or confirmed any interruption to the vessels’ operations as a result of the new UK requirements.

## Quarterly distribution announced

Alongside the sanctions update, Dynagas LNG Partners declared a cash distribution of US$0.05 per common unit for the quarter ended September 30, 2026.

The distribution is scheduled for payment on or about November 20, 2026, to common unitholders of record as of November 13. The partnership noted that future distributions remain subject to board discretion, operating performance, financial requirements and restrictions contained in its debt agreements.

Dynagas LNG Partners owns a fleet of six LNG carriers with a combined carrying capacity of approximately 914,000 cubic metres. Its vessels are employed under multi-year charter agreements.

The approaching January 2027 implementation date introduces an additional operational consideration for the partnership, particularly given the revenue concentration associated with its Yamal-linked vessels. The extent of any financial impact will depend on whether suitable replacement service providers can be secured and whether the existing charter arrangements continue without disruption.
