# Capital Tankers secures time charter for dual-fuel Suezmax Amor

Capital Tankers Corp. has entered into a 15-month time charter agreement for its recently delivered dual-fuel Suezmax tanker *Amor*, securing employment with an undisclosed global energy company in a contract expected to generate revenues of between $73.1 million and $82.2 million.

The charter commenced in November 2026 and remains subject to the charterer’s vetting approval. The agreement provides the company with a period of contracted employment for one of its newest vessels, although the final revenue outcome remains dependent on the terms and execution of the charter.

The *Amor* is a 155,348 dwt Suezmax tanker built in 2026 by New Times Shipbuilding in China. The vessel is LNG dual-fuel capable and equipped with an exhaust gas cleaning system, or scrubber.

Capital Tankers took delivery of the vessel on October 20, 2026, bringing its operating fleet to 17 tankers. The delivery was partly financed through a $64.5 million sale-and-leaseback arrangement, with scheduled quarterly repayments and a final balloon payment due in October 2033.

The latest charter agreement follows the expansion of Capital Tankers’ operating fleet during 2026, as the company continues to take delivery of newbuildings under its fleet development programme.

According to the company’s latest fleet disclosure, Capital Tankers has a fleet portfolio of 33 vessels, comprising 15 VLCCs, 10 Suezmax tankers and eight Aframax/LR2 vessels. Of these, 17 are currently in operation, while another 16 newbuildings are scheduled for delivery during 2027 and 2028.

The company has not disclosed the identity of the charterer or the contractual daily hire rate for the *Amor*.
