BW LPG Limited has announced that its 52%-owned subsidiary, BW LPG India, has entered into an agreement to sell the 2008-built *BW Loyalty*, with the vessel expected to continue trading under its new owner.

The sale price is in the low US$80 million range, according to the company. On a 100% basis, the transaction is expected to generate a gain on disposal of approximately US$52 million, while net cash proceeds after taxes and transaction costs are estimated at US$66 million.

The vessel is scheduled to be delivered to the buyer following the completion of its current time charter, with delivery expected no later than December 2026.

## BW LPG expects significant gain from vessel disposal

The agreement involves a vessel that has been in service for approximately 18 years, with BW LPG highlighting the transaction as an opportunity to realise value from an older asset.

Kristian Sørensen, Chief Executive Officer of BW LPG, said the agreed sale price reflects the strength of the second-hand vessel market and the company’s ability to generate value from its fleet.

He added that the transaction would strengthen the financial position of BW LPG India, while allowing the company to realise a substantial gain from the disposal.

The announced financial estimates are presented on a 100% vessel basis. BW LPG Limited owns 52% of BW LPG India, the subsidiary entering into the sale agreement.

## Delivery expected before year-end

Under the agreement, *BW Loyalty* will remain on its existing time charter until that employment concludes, after which the vessel is expected to be transferred to its buyer.

The company has indicated that delivery should take place no later than December 2026. The transaction therefore remains pending completion, and the anticipated gain and cash proceeds are not yet realised.

BW LPG has not disclosed the identity of the buyer or provided additional details regarding the vessel’s future employment beyond its continued trading.

The disposal represents a further fleet transaction for BW LPG India, with the company seeking to realise value from the second-hand market while strengthening its financial position.
