# Boluda Towage strengthens Norwegian fleet with new tugboat

Boluda Towage has expanded its fleet in Norway with the addition of *VB NORWEGIAN FALCON*, a new tugboat built by Sanmar Shipyards and designed for demanding maritime operating conditions.

The vessel forms part of the company’s fleet development strategy in the Nordic region, where towing, vessel assistance and offshore support operations require specialised equipment capable of operating in challenging weather and sea conditions.

Built to the RAstar 3200 SX design developed by Canadian naval architecture firm Robert Allan Ltd., the tug is equipped with azimuth stern drive (ASD) propulsion and delivers more than 6,700 horsepower.

The vessel has a bollard pull capacity of 90 tonnes, providing the towing force required for demanding ship assistance operations.

## Designed for demanding maritime conditions

The RAstar 3200 SX design incorporates hull characteristics intended to improve manoeuvrability, stability and operational safety in challenging sea conditions.

Combined with its propulsion system and towing capacity, these features are designed to support vessel handling and maritime assistance activities in Norwegian waters.

*VB NORWEGIAN FALCON* also complies with IMO Tier III emissions requirements, reflecting the incorporation of technology intended to reduce regulated engine emissions.

## Boluda expands Nordic towing capabilities

The addition strengthens Boluda Towage’s operational resources in Norway and supports its wider activities across Scandinavia.

The company provides towing and vessel assistance services, as well as support for offshore maritime operations.

According to Boluda Towage, the new tugboat will contribute to its ability to serve the Norwegian market through a modern and specialised fleet.
